Large-scale public art narratives—built with communities, then made to tour.

Large-scale Collaborations

Bureau of Silly Ideas create expansive, multi-layered projects that unfold over time across public spaces. We blend combined arts, big visual moments, and playful participation to build unforgettable shared experiences—work that starts locally, then can be re-presented and toured.

From observation to a shared story

Every Big Show begins with an initial phase of listening, observation, and consultancy. We learn what makes a place tick, who’s missing from the picture, and what stories are waiting underneath the surface. From there, we develop an overarching narrative—then nurture local teams during the creative stages so the impact isn’t just a one-off event, but something a community can carry forward.

Ambitious delivery with serious reach

We deliver Big Shows with trusts, heritage partners, local councils, community partnerships, regeneration initiatives, Creative People and Places projects, BIDs, retail centres, and arts festivals. The aim is always to make people chuckle—but we use big work to explore themes with bite, including corporate globalisation, community cohesion, social impact, political activism, and environmental issues.
