Club Silly
Club Silly is the Bureau's open door. If you've got an idea for an event, a show, a workshop, or something you can't quite name yet, we want to hear about it. We have the spaces, the experience, and the resources to help make things happen. You bring the spark.
Club Silly events range from the raucous to the reflective. Adventures in Dub brings live dub and sound system culture into the arches. Our comedy nights pack the room with new and established acts. Cabaret evenings mix music, performance, and audience participation in ways that only really work in a space like ours. And on the quieter side, we run workshops, skill-shares, and learning events where people pick up everything from prop-building to projection mapping.
That's just what's happened so far. We're always looking for the next thing, and it usually starts with someone getting in touch and saying "what if..."
Membership is free for everyone. Once you're in, you get priority tickets, affordable space for rehearsals, access to Bureau resources, and a say in how we run things through the members forum.
But the real point of Club Silly is collaboration. We work with artists, community groups, promoters, and organisations of all sizes. We've supported projects on shoestring budgets and partnered with funded programmes. If you've got an idea and you're not sure where to start, talk to us. We're flexible, we're experienced, and we're genuinely keen to help good ideas find their feet.
